ACT 1 - ACT 111 YOUTH PROGRAM
​
Because of our mission to provide job placement for senior artists, we are especially interested in recruiting an older staff, but will review all applications.
We are hiring teachers that are:
-
Comfortable working with young students
-
Experienced in an artistic field, including acting, theater, music, cotillion, dance
-
​Preferred dance styles: ballet, jazz, hip hop, and tap
-

Available during some or all hours Monday-Friday 10am-5pm

You do not have to be available for the full day and we will work with your schedule! This is a paid position.

CROWN CITY DANCE
​
We are seeking Ballroom Dance Instructors to join Crown City Dance, the studio that operates in our theater. Dance experience is preferred but NOT required. We train all incoming teachers to ensure you feel confident taking on new students. We ask that you have availability during the late afternoon and evening and do our best to accommodate your schedule.
The next teacher training begins November 1st. We meet 5:30-9:30pm, Monday-Thursday. You are not required to attend every evening but must provide your schedule in advance. Training lasts a minimum of 3 weeks for new teachers, depending on ability and commitment, or can move more quickly if you're an experienced ballroom dancer. Training is unpaid but it is an opportunity for you to develop your professional skillset, and we will schedule you for classes immediately after graduating!

Job Responsibilities:

Teach group and private dance lessons to adult students, in all styles of Ballroom Dance

Organize and plan lessons

Advise students on proper skills, technique, and practice methods
-
Coordinate with program director
-
Attend social practice sessions at the studio to help students develop their lead/follow technique
